Formatting
This tab allows you to set the default case settings for Category, Manufacturer, Model, and Description for consistency throughout the SI 5 application. The Exception List section is used for abbreviations and acronyms that you do not want to be affected by your case settings.
These settings take precedence over what you enter in those four fields for a Product.
Example: You create a new Product in your database and you type “Surround X28” in the Model field. The Formatting for the Model field is set to “UPPER CASE” as in the screenshot above. When you print your reports, the Model for this Product will display as “SURROUND X28”.
