Setting up the proper network configuration and appropriate computer resources can make a significant difference in the performance of the SI5 application suite. The ideal designer workstation would have dual screens allowing easy viewing of both the Product data and drawings at the same time. If you have more than one SI5 license, you need to provide access to a computer on your network to serve as the “SI5 Server”. A server class computer is not required. In most cases, a modest performing desktop computer with a high speed network adapter is all that is necessary. The key requirement for your "SI5 Server" is that it is on the same domain or workgroup as all of your "client" machines. Whatever machine you choose should be included in your daily backup procedure.
