Changes and Revisions

Change Order and Revision Management

SI5 supports a linear sequential design and engineering process.  Only one person at a time may modify a project.  Changes occur continuously throughout the complete process from conception to completed red-lined drawings.  Proper change management can mean the difference between chaos and a well controlled project.  More importantly, managing and documenting change is necessary to keep the client informed and to improve your chances of getting paid in a timely fashion.

Comparing two revisions of a project will allow you to see what changed between the two such as:

  • Added / Removed Products
  • Modified Product cost or selling price
  • Changed Phase information
  • Labor Rates or Factors
  • Misc Parts
  • Equipment +-
  • Misc Costs
  • Taxes
