Duplicate values in the index, primary key, or relationship error

Duplicate values in the index, primary key, or relationship error

Error Details:

The changes you requested to the table were not successful because they would create duplicate values in the index, primary key, or relationship. Change the data in the field or fields that contain duplicate data, remove the index, or redefine the index to permit duplicate entries and try again.

Cause:

This error is typically caused by duplicate values in the Location and Zone field in the Project Information portion of a project. There may also be an "unassigned" filed in either Location or Zone.

Solution:

Here are some solution that can be tried when receiving this error:

1. Select project in question and open View Project Information. Check for any duplicate values in the Location and Zone filed. Also, check for any unassigned Locations or Zones.

2. If you are unable to find any duplications, you can replace your existing local Master Table database with a correctly functioning Master Table from another client machine running an SI5 client install. You will need to get a copy of the Master Table from the working client machine and paste it in the same location of the machine experiencing the error. the Master Table file can be found in this location:

Win 7: C:\ProgramData\D-tools\SI5\MasterTable.mdf

XP: C:\Documents and settings\All Users\Application Data\D-tools\SI5\MasterTable.mdf

3. If the provided solutions do not work, please contact D-tools support for further assistance.
