Firewall Settings

During the SI5.5 Server Configuration, we set the required exceptions to your Windows Firewall.  If you are using a third-party protection software that uses its own firewall then you will need to grant access to *three programs:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\Binn\sqlservr.exe

C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Shared\sqlbrowser.exe

C:\Program Files\D-Tools\SI 5\Server\DTools.Services.exe

* These files may be in different locations depending on the configuration of your machine

If your firewall does not allow you to add applications as exceptions you will need to add the following ports as exceptions:

9000 TCP

1433 UDP

1434 TCP
